Episode 14: Creating a Successful Business & Career in the Music Industry
Episode 14 features a conversation with Fredrick “Bam” Scott. “Bam” is the President/CEO, producer, drummer and main writer for the label, Big Bam Entertainment. He received a 2004 Latin Grammy award for his production and writing in collaboration with Latin Artist “Albita.” The CD won “Best Female Contemporary Tropical Album.” He has managed to work with Emilio and Gloria Estefan, Quincy Jones, Javier Garcia, Jon Secada, Jimena, The Gaitan Brothers, Richard Smallwood, Raul DiBlasio and a host of other industry “heavy weights.”
In 2010 he began acting and got is first role in the T-Mobile commercial directed by Spike Lee feat. Dwayne Wade of the NBA, Miami Heat entitled “Outta Here!” He has since found main roles in TV shows such as “Start Up,” “Burn Notice,” and “Graceland,” White Castle and Sportsmanias to name a few.
Bam shares his story of what he has done to not only build a career as a successful performing musician, but also how he created a successful business for himself in the music and entertainment industry.
